no, not really - since upgradeany is the only way to get anaconda to 
move from el3 to el4 anyway  and will, most likely, be the only way to 
move from el4 to el5.

with life-role relation of the enterprise class distro, few people 
actually move a machine from major release to major release - since its 
actually viable to let it just run ( look at all those C3 machines still 
out there )
