<span class=apple-style-span>This is regarding a query w.r.t CentOS 5.5 Live CD
Bootup from PXE server. From the CentOS LiveCD project webpage, i do see that
PXE booting of CentOS live CD is pretty simple as the ISO image itself is
carried inside the initrd.</span><br>
<br>
<span class=apple-style-span>I downloaded the "livecd-tools-014-8.src.rpm"
from CentOS repositories and created a new initrd image ( which contains Live
ISO image ) using "livecd-iso-to-pxeboot.sh" script.</span><br>
<br>
<span class=apple-style-span><b># ./livecd-iso-to-pxeboot.sh
CentOS-5.5-i386-LiveCD-Release2.iso</b></span><br>
<br>
<span class=apple-style-span>This creates a new initrd by incorporating the ISO
image ( live ISO image ) with the existing initrd present in the live CD ISO
image.</span><span class=apple-converted-space> </span><br>
<br>
<span class=apple-style-span>But when i use this updated initrd from PXE
server, it says "Boot failed...press a key to retry or wait to
reset..."</span><span class=apple-converted-space> </span><img

script ( livecd-xxx-pxe.sh ). i.e. CentOS live ISO initrd with ISO image.</span><br>

<span class=apple-style-span>When the /tftpboot/pxelinux.cfg/default is updated
with the above entries, then server gets restarted and in the next boot up
system shows an error, i.e. <b>"Alert ! System fatal error during previous
boot"</b></span><b><br>
