No, the kmod-ath5k works, but does have a problem when the interface is 
brought down. Both Dirk as well as I have this problem. It happens when 
you shut down the system, or hibernate.

This is not a problem with the kmod-ath5k, it happens with the 
ath5k from 2.6.18-141 and 2.6.18-144 as well (which is a backport of the 
Fedora 10 ath5k module which I presume works fine in F10).

We have to report this so that Red Hat has the ability to fix this. If we 
do not test and use the ath5k from the future Red Hat kernels, this will 
not be fixed in CentOS 5.4, so I hope everyone understand the urgency and 
importance of the work we do (and the availability of the elrepo module).

So there are two locations to get Red Hat kernels:

  - http://people.redhat.com/dzickus/el5/
    Future test RHEL5 kernels (see the SPEC file or changelog to
    understand what patches are included)

  - http://people.redhat.com/linville/kernels/rhel5/
    Specific network/wireless patched kernels for debugging (an insight in
    what patches are included)
