Do you have a USB devices plugged in? I reinstalled CentOS 4.2 on my 
laptop this past weekend. I forgot to unplug my USB mouse during 
installation and had the same "Disabling IRQ 11" stop. I ended up 
unplugging my mouse and restarting the install and then it was very happy.
