And, following along on this track ... it is disabled in CentOS because
it is disabled in RHEL and we are supposed to be cloning what RHEL
does :).  I might do a extended kernel for U1 (in centosplus) that has
reiserfs support.

Since we are talking about file system support, you also need to make it
be in the initrd image to see reiserfs filesystems at boot time...

I would say that your best bet is to just modify the kernel config file
and recompile it in whole... then you are not fighting other potential
problems.  (That is what I would do if i needed reiserfs).
