OK,

Thanks to all of you for your answers. It just works.

My problem was that before using Gnome I was using KDE. The procedure to 
copy and paste with KDE is :
    - select the text in the terminal.
    - left click a long time on this highlighted text to move it at the 
end of the current terminal command line or in another terminal window.
This procedure is just not the same on Gnome and I didn't find it 
(Hum!!! Hum!!!)
