Reiserfs ... I've heard it is much better now, and it doesn't even
break as often as it used to. It now only breaks likes 10x more often
than any other filesystem (previously it was like 100x).

All (half) jokes aside, if you want to try a new fs type, you might was
well go for XFS or JFS (I'm biased on this one). At least they are
enterprise grade.

Maybe for low CPU usage you should do got a non-journaling fs ? It is just
a guess, and not based on anything other than gut feeling.

And if you want something realtime-ish with Asterisk, you might want to
go to some other hardware (not PC). I really can't recommend anything in
particular since I don't know what kind of load you have.
