one as to be suspicious of the script -- I do such testing
this way, so that I can see everything:
$ cat - << END | mysql -u userid -h hostname datasetname
drop database datasetname;
create database datasetname;
quit;
END
adding the -p option for a passworded mysql account will is
straightforward, and the mysql shell will still prompt
sample at:
