Absolutely!  I looked in my log for stuff that was installed along with 
gnucash.  There's no doubt in my mind that this would have been a 
nightmare without yum:

  Why in gnucash included in Fedroa 2,3, and 4,  but not in
  Centos and REHL 3 & 4   ?
