[CentOS] network running at 10 or 100, how to tell

mii-tool  doesnt give you gigabit speeds  it will work for 10/100  not 
10/100/1000 

you can use dmesg and grep  to see what was negotiated

dmesg |grep eth
eth0: SiS 900 PCI Fast Ethernet at 0xc800, IRQ 217, 00:13:d4:13:00:7b.
eth0: Media Link On 100mbps full-duplex
eth0: no IPv6 routers present
