[CentOS] 4.4 upgrade problems

Most of the servers I have upgraded are Dell (1450 / 1850 / 2650) with
intel p4 or p4 xeon.

Most of the workstations are also dell dimension with intel.

I have also upgraded a couple Opteron servers (sun fire V40z and V20z)
and a couple AMD 64 3000-3400+ generic machines.
