[CentOS] need help on second Ethernet port (eth1) point to point connect

setup IP address as "192.168.xxx.xxx" does NOT work.
Someone say I need use "crossover" type of cable, but
I don't have. I put a switch and coneect cable from
each PC and it work fine.
