Nothing is wrong with  kb-centos-extras.  But it is a good idea to
read this page:

http://wiki.centos.org/Repositories

to learn about safe use of 3rd party repositories.

If you are still having difficulties with the update, try cleaning yum
(yum clean all, for example).
