Exactly John - data i have collected from personal experience;
How long my machines have each had a floppy drive (in the 
past) : ~12y
Number of times i've needed on: ~12

How long my new machines have all been floppy-less: ~5 weeks
Number of times i've needed one since then: 4

Damn the irony!
