I've never tried it (but it's on my todo list though ...) but it seems
that you don't need to rebuild a kernel ... Just follow the
instructions/doc on http://oss.oracle.com/projects/ocfs2/ 
Attention : the same page says that it will not work on EL5 with selinux
enabled (sic !) ...
