This is a different tool, not in 5.2 (was in 4.x).

Try "rpm -ql e2fsprogs | grep bin" or something to see what's in the package.

When I did that on my centos-5.2.x86_64 I found:

 $ rpm -qf /sbin/resize2fs --qf "%{NAME}-%{VERSION}-%{RELEASE}.%{ARCH}\n"
 e2fsprogs-1.39-15.el5.x86_64

I suggest you read the manpage for resize2fs as a next step.
