[CentOS] Use 8GB RAM on Pentium D?

Neil,
I maintain a Dell PowerEdge 850 which has a Pentium D, exactly 8 GB of RAM,
and runs CentOS x86_64. It should work fine as long as your motherboard
supports that much RAM.
