I am seeing the following behaviour on all my ix86 CentOS-5.5 hosts:

Downloading Packages:
(1/2): device-mapper-event-1.02.39-1.el5_5.2.i386.rpm | 20 kB
 00:00
(2/2): device-mapper-1.02.39-1.el5_5.2.i386.rpm | 724 kB
 00:02
http://centos.mirror.iweb.ca/5.5/updates/i386/RPMS/device-mapper-1.02.39-1.el5_5.2.i386.rpm:
[Errno -1] Package does not match intended download
Trying other mirror.

The step 2 download repeats until the maximum number of mirrors has
been tried and then the update fails.

I had previously run yum clean all before attempting the update.

Can anyone enlighten me as to the cause and remedial action required?

The favour of a direct response is requested as I am a digest
subscriber.
