That's ok, once you know that... But I agree, it is frustrating, because 
of lack of documentation. How much time wasted!

I never tried handing the install media over with the --connect (-c) 
flag like there:

	virt-install...
	-c /nfsclient/iso/FreeBSD-7.3-RELEASE-amd64-disc1.iso \
