You should see 'obsolete, dated, outdated, stale, outmoded', etc. as 
synonyms if you look in the right places.

Or there's this from urbandictionary.com:
  "You begin to be old when people who deliver pizzas are systematically 
younger than you."
  or
  "Old is when its more expensive to buy the candles, than the cake to 
put it on."

Both of those should apply to ftp (and probably a few of us...).
