All the Volume Groups visible to a system need to have different names. Otherwise many LVM2 commands will refuse to run or give warning mes-sages. Try by using "vgdisplay" to get the UUID and use the "UUID" to "vgrename" otherwise start unpluging drive cables to get to the LVM you need to rename. John
