Only if I'm partitioning the disk, surely.  If I just throw the whole
raw disk into mdadm (sdd, sde, sdf...) then isn't partitioning
irrelevant?

Hmm, el6.  Nice to know that will work when CentOS6 comes out; maybe I'll
wait until then and rebuild my machine with 64bit mode.
