James - I did the following...

yum install ipmitool
modprobe ipmi_devintf
ipmitool chassis status

and I got this below.

System Power : on
Power Overload : false
Power Interlock : inactive
Main Power Fault : false
Power Control Fault : false
Power Restore Policy : previous
Last Power Event :
Chassis Intrusion : inactive
Front-Panel Lockout : inactive
Drive Fault : false
Cooling/Fan Fault : false
Sleep Button Disable : not allowed
Diag Button Disable : allowed
Reset Button Disable : not allowed
Power Button Disable : allowed
Sleep Button Disabled: false
Diag Button Disabled : true
Reset Button Disabled: false
Power Button Disabled: false

Then I unplugged the power to 1 of the two supplies and waited for the "orange" display so
the machine noticed the power fault. Then ran the command "ipmitool chassis status" again
and got the same output. It was not reporting the power supply issue.

Is there something I am missing?

Thanks,

jerry
