I have installed openSUSE 12.3 on an ARM Samsung Chromebook [openSUSE
makes an install image for the Chromebook(s)].  It is a straight-forward
process and so far works without any major issues.

Haven't tried CentOS, I'm not aware of ARM CentOS system images.
