I have centos 4.2, php 4.3.9, firebird.<br>

Folow these steps:<br>
<br>
1 - Download php sources;<br>
2- Edit php.spec file with: --with-interbase=shared,/opt/firebird <br>
3- Run rpmbuild --ba /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/php.spec<br>
4- Copy /var/tmp/php-root/usr/lib/php4/interbase.so file to /usr/lib/php4<br>
5 - Edit php.ini, add this line: extension = interbase.so;<br>
6- Restart apache<br>

is there an easy way (yum install . . .) to add firebird/interbase<br>support to php ?<br><br>Everything that google came up with suggests downloading php sources and<br>compiling with --with-interbase=/opt/...<br>I 'd rather not do this as I would like to keep php yummable
