Is there anything in /var/log/audit or /var/log/messages?</blockquote><br>I should have stated  that SELinux is disabled. <br><br>Here is a listing: <br><br><br>[root@nfs /]# lsattr /boot/grub/grub.conf<br>----i-------- /boot/grub/grub.conf<br>
