I am sorry for the miss understanding, I really agree to that too, but it is just that i thought you could have an alternative like the one I read in the <a href="http://www.howtoforge.com">http://www.howtoforge.com</a> which actually just talked about downloading a vanilla kernel and applying your patch and them making an rpm version so you could run on other systems. <br>
