aarch64 support in ci.centos.org

Hi Folks, We are pleased to announce the availability of 27 aarch64 VMs for use in ci.centos.org These are available by requesting arch=aarch64 in duffy. We plan on expanding the number of flavors, and the number of VMs in each flavor as we get more hardware, but the current breakdown is as follows: aarch64 - tiny: 12 VMs aarch64 - small: 12 VMs aarch64 - medium: 3 VMs See this page: https://wiki.centos.org/QaWiki/CI/Multiarch for more information about the specifications for each flavor. New f27 slave for libguestfs

Hi, I'd like to register a new vm/slave for the libguestfs hypervisor: - fedora-27 (libguestfs-ci-f27-slave) could you please provide credentials for it? Pausing Jenkins to let the pool catch up

Hi Folks, An automatic update to ansible on admin.ci caused some trouble with the playbooks that we use to provision our bare metal hosts. Sending emails to developers who failed build

Hello, I would like to ask how do you are you implementing $SUBJECT in your project? I tried to setup email-ext plugin, but there was CVE [1], which disabled option to send emails to a user which are not registered in Jenkins. There is a workaround to shift this behavior, but I am not sure whether you want to enable it: -Dhudson.tasks.MailSender.SEND_TO_UNKNOWN_USERS=true So my question is, what would be the best solution to implement notifications in current ci.centos.org Jenkins instance? Is AnsiColor plugin avaiable?

Hello guys, I am speaking for fabric8-analytics team and I would like to ask whether there is AnsiColor Jenkins plugin [1] avaiable in ci.centos.org [2]. Our logs are configured to be colorful, but it's not configured yet in Jenkins. I created PR [3] to enable colorful logs, but I don't want to break anything in case there is no such plugin installed. If there is not AnsiColor plugin installed, I think you should consider to enable it since it can improve readability of logs. If there is a plugin available, please let me know. Pausing to refill the duffy pool 12-Oct-2017

Hi Folks, There was some pressure on requests to duffy today. Jenkins is currently paused to let it catch up (it says 'Preparing for a Shutdown' but we won't actually perform the shutdown). Upcoming Openstack/RDO (Pike release) cloud in CI environment

Hi, Some of you know that we deployed initially an RDO/Openstack cloud in the CI environment, so that it would be possible to get cloud instances/VMs instead of bare metal when having to test something. Such VMs could/can also be used to add multiple jenkins slaves when needed. The needed work in Duffy wasn't yet merged, so the CI projects couldn't already request a VM (yet). With the fact the it was based on Newton (now EOL) and that also we're slowly adding other arches (like aarch64, ppc64, ppc64le) in CI, we discussed the best way to add those arches to existing cloud, but that's not possible. As the Cloud SIG targets AltArch with the Pike release, it makes sense for us to also migrate to that environment/version and so probably being able to also have some aarch64/ppc64le compute nodes in the same cloud. As some VMs/instances were already deployed there, we'll contact concerned projects on the best way to provision new instances, and let them migrate what had to be migrated (in case something has to be migrated) Reminder : it's also CI environment, without any backup of those instances, and also other reminder that compute nodes are running on top of raid0 devices. Major infrastructure outage: 2017-09-19

Incident Date: 2017-09-19 Incident Time: 20:20 UTC Approximate outage Time 35 minutes Services Affected: - Local mirrors hosted at mirror*.ci.centos.org - NFS mounted directories to the CI storage node - CI Monitoring Description: The server that services mirror requests in ci.centos.org was hard locked. We got into the console and rebooted the server and service is now restored. There is a short period left when we are pausing jobs in CI to let Duffy catch back up.
