Unplanned outage incident 06h37 - 08h12 UTC

Issue Summary ============= A misconfigured ulimit on jenkins.ci.centos.org caused Jenkins to fail with too many open files. This also caused the root volume to fill up because of noisy messages in the logs. Access to the Jenkins HTTP interface was affected during this period. Root Cause ========== During the reconfigure and move to a new host, the 'nofile'ulimits to jenkins were reset to the default (4096). Jenkins reached this limit before the next scheduled garbage collection. Recovery ======== At 08h12 we cleared out the jenkins log to free up disk space and set the ulimits for the jenkins user to the appropriate value, and jenkins was restarted. Corrective Measures =================== The ulimit change was reflected in our ansible scripts and deployed. Impact ====== Jobs running during the window should have completed, but may not have reported back status to Jenkins. SCM/Github jobs that would have been triggered during that period were picked up when the Jenkins service came live again. Jobs with triggers through other means (messaging, HTTP POST, etc.) may not have been launched. Hi Brian, Ari Can we get apps.ci documented on https://wiki.centos.org/QaWiki/CI Additionally, can we get the auth backend offloading to accounts.centos.org via id.centos.org ? I believe ipsilon already has whats needed, and it should just be a single change to the backing openshift master config. tearing down os.ci.centos.org

The os.ci.centos.org openshift cluster has been running since Aug 2016 and has been a huge contributor to success for a multitude of projects. however, its being replaced by apps.ci.centos.org, which is better supported, better resourced bringup for openshift that engaged deeply within the PaaS SIG. I've set the decomission date for os.ci to be 20th July 2017. Job not updated on Jenkins jobs configuration updated

Hi, My job [1] is not getting updated when I update my Jenkins Job configuration [2]. I did this commit [3] to add one parameter to my job but not update after half an hour of configuration update. Any idea what is happening here? Am I missing anything? BREAKING CHANGE: Jenkins downtime 30-Jun-2017 20:00 EDT (01-Jul-2017 00:00 UTC)

Hi Folks, We will be updating Jenkins to the latest LTS release and moving the service to a more performant node on June 30th 2017 at 20:00 EDT This will require a full restart , and a move of the jenkins volume which means jobs caught in the queue during the quiet period will _NOT_ be requeued. If there is anything we can do to make this process smoother please let us know. As usual we will have a 1hr quiet period before this to allow any other jobs to finish. [RFE] cobertura plugin

Hello! I would love to be able to use the Cobertura Jenkins plugin[0] for my Bodhi tests. Any other coverage plugin that can consume my nose-cov coverage.xml output would be fine as well. Here[1] is an example of using it with JJB. This is certainly squarely in the "nice to have" category so no big deal if it doesn't happen. Thanks for considering! Self Introduction: Sinny Kumari

Hello everyone! I am Sinny Kumari working at Red Hat and have recently joined this Mailing List. I have contributed in Fedora by packaging and testing. I am also part of Alternative Architectures group in Fedora and take care of some AltArches specific packages like librtas, libservicelog, opencryptoki, etc. Recently, I have also started working with Atomic-wg[1] group and working on enabling Atomic Host for aarch64 and ppc64le arches in Fedora. Meanwhile, also monitoring closely work happening around Fedora CI efforts in order to get it expanded to AltArches. So far, my contribution is around Fedora and would love to expand it to CentOS. I have talked to Brian Stinson and would like to help with expanding CentOS CI to Alternative Arches. I am also looking forward to help in general with other CentOS projects.
