I get errors. That's the only place $release appears in the repo file.

I tried looking at a few other centos-release-* sources on git.centos.org but couldn't find any that have
c8stream branches that I could copy.


This is how we fixed it for advanced virtualization:

but if you are building that package for stream only, you can just change $releasever with $stream and you're done.
