Hola listeros, despues de unas largas y merecidas vacaciones me activo en la lista de CentOS 5,para evacuar mis dudas y problemas y ayudar a otros con problemas.
Empiezo por algo muy significativo para mi, y eso que no se mucho linux ahora es que empiezo.
El problema es el siquiente cuando se va a instalar un programa con linux mediante YUM, se utiliza la consola ej. (yum install php) eso me devuelve un error, lo que necesito es configurar el mismo.
Por favor necesito la ayuda de todos ustedes.

skipping <center><img...........<br> ? uno de tus .repo tiene código html dentro, verifica dentro de /etc/yum.repos.d/
La lista de mirros esta errada, si puedes envía el contenido del archivo. /var/cache/yum/base/mirrorlist.txt
Vi alguna de las direcciones y no tiene mirror, pero si envías el archivo es mas fácil.

hola centos no busca tener los más nuevos de los paquetes sino paquetes estables y actualizados, a eso le llaman backporting y es para evitar que se introduzcan nuevos problemas por programación, configuración o funcionamiento (diferente al anterior).
