php-snmp *UPDATE*

Thank you to all the people that responded. I found a php.spec file for EL3 and modified the php.spec file that came with the php source rpm from the CentOS mirros. Built and installed the php-snmp rpm and it is working great!!! For anyone that would like to have a copy for themselves can find it at http://traffic.wonderwave.net I will leave it up for a week or two so act fast. I also posted the the original spec file, the one with snmp support and a diff file showing the difference between the two. Thanks again to all you helped me out. Dan

should cAos block access to mirror.caosity.org?

Hey, Greg suggested that I take a straw poll. Should cAos take steps to prevent getting stuck with a big ISP bill in the future? For example, should cAos: a) for new installs, have the yum.conf point to public mirrors, rather than to mirror.caosity.org? b) make sure that "yum update" does not substitute a new yum.conf file that points only to mirror.caosity.org? c) allow public mirrors to access mirror.caosity.org directly, but block direct access by everyone else? On the other hand, do the benefits of allowing direct access to mirror.caosity.org by everyone outweigh the costs of occasionally big ISP bills? Feel free to express your views, Greg is listening. I have built GFS & CS packages for CentOS-3. I am not aware of official CentOS versions yet so I am offering these packages. Netatalk and CentOS

Hello, Anyone running netatalk on CentOS? Appears that the newer version 2 has no rpms that I could find. Trying to install from source didn't do the job either. Would appreciate some help/input. Thanks

Don't rightly know if that's how the cd is set up, have only vague idea of how to find out... ----------------------------------- Do a find on the CD for ks.cfg, this will tell you where the file is located. Signing key for recent x86_64 CentOS-3 updates

(reposting 'cause I sent the last one from a non-subscribed address) Hi there. I tried "yum update"ing my x86_64 CentOS-3 box today, but the packages won't install and yum claims I don't have an appropriate signing key. I've been happily doing updates all along (last time was Oct. 12) with no trouble. The key ID used to sign the x86_64 packages is 219180cddb42a60e and the key ID used to sign the i386 packages is 7049e44d025e513b.
