CentOS-3 errata - updated httpd fixes trademark issue

A new version of httpd is available for CentOS-3 i386 This fixes a missed trademark issue in previous build. https://bugzilla.caosity.org/show_bug.cgi?id=710 refers. Updated files are :- updates/i386/RPMS/httpd-2.0.46-44.ent.centos.2.i386.rpm updates/i386/RPMS/httpd-devel-2.0.46-44.ent.centos.2.i386.rpm updates/i386/SRPMS/httpd-2.0.46-44.ent.centos.2.src.rpm yum update httpd will be sufficient to pick up this change. The new i586 kernel has been moved to 'extras' where of course it should have been put rather than 'addons' Lance

Question about YUM

Pardon my ignorance, but if I update or install a package via rpm will YUM pick that up in subsequent updates? Or should I be using YUM for installs if I plan to use it for updates? -- <<JAV>>

Mornin' all, I've got a trio of quick questions: 1.) Are there archives for the list, 2.) Any trick to installing Qt, 3.) Any tricks, once Qt is set, installing KGPG? Frenando, I had no problems with the vsftp instructions on the RedHat site, starting here: http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/RHEL-3-Manual/ref-guide/s1-ft… The section on ftp starts here: http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/RHEL-3-Manual/ref-guide/ch-ft… There was one essential point that I did not get from the manual (I had to find it the hard way): any directory in your ftp server that you want to be publicly accessible needs to be "executable" by everyone ("o" for "others") -- one enters a directory by "executing" it. I recommend vsftp because 1) I assume RedHat had good reasons for choosing it, and 2) you have RedHat supporting it. Hi, I have recently discovered CentOS after it was recommended to me in one of the forums that I participate in.. Just interested to find out how long after RH release an update does it take for it to get released for CentOS? I am downloading the ISO's now and hope to have a play with CentOS over the weekend.. :) Later..
