perl dependency problems in dag's repo

Hi I know this might not be the right list. There are some dependency problems with perl packages in dag's repo. This is not the first perl package which doesn't install because of this kind of dependency. Any idea? Resolving dependencies .....Unable to satisfy dependencies Package ldap-account-manager needs perl(Net::SSH::Perl), this is not available. Package ldap-account-manager needs perl(Quota), this is not available. Thanks Sophana

motherboard to use with CentOS 3

I'm about to build a server. I want to use a P4, and have lotsa RAM, I don't need audio, I do want to do RAID, but I'll do software RAID if hw isn't available for IDE. the RH hardware list seems rather woefully out of date, does anyone have any recommendations for a good motherboard guaranteed to work? I'm looking at ASUS P4P800-E-deluxe which has a driver on the ASUS site for the ethernet card that appears to compile on CentOS, it's a 3Com Gigabit LOM (3C940).. anyone have any reports on this? i810/agpgart problem with X

Hi list, This is my first post to this list so be kind... :) I installed CentOS 3.3 on a Dell Optiplex GX110 over the weekend and found that when I try to start X, I get a problem with loading the agpgart module which causes X to crash out. I did a little poking around Red Hat's bugzilla for RHEL3 and found the following bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=132935 You can get the full details by reading the page but essentially the problem exists in the default kernel in RHEL3U3 (and hence CentOS 3.3). Yesterday an errata was issued to release a new kernel which supposedly fixes the problem. Linkage is below: http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2004-550.html As comfortable as I am with the shell, having my desktop able to run CentOS with X Windows would be much nicer. ;) I'd be interested to know if anyone else has had problems with i810 video cards and CentOS 3.3 and any experiences you may have with trying to get them working. httpd trademark issue -- here it is!

Hey, A "powered by RedHat" gif recently appeared on the bottom of the mirror monitor (mirmon) page: http://www.advanced-app.com.hk/caosity/ This appeared in place of the "powered by CentOS" gif that used to be there. The mirmon page is getting it from the icons directory under the default html directory. An Apache update in November put the new gif there in place of the CentOS gif. This was fixed in a httpd update early this month. This server is on a 28 day update lag. Just a few hours ago, yum automatically updated httpd to version httpd-0-2.0.46-44.ent.centos.1.i386.hdr which came into my master repository on November 19th HKT. Actually, a newer httpd version came in on December 3rd, httpd-0-2.0.46-44.ent.centos.2.i386.hdr Theoretically, the appearance of the more recent version should have blocked the installation of the prior version, but the logic in the lag mirror software needs refinement (it is not expecting a newer version to have a non-contiguous number component). I am away from the office. Could someone please let me know where I can grab the correct gif off some web site? Thanks, Rick
