GPG key not installed?

Just installed v3.1, bringing it up to date to work with. It doesn't appear that RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-3 was installed anywhere on the system? Upgrading Heavily Modified RH9 Machines

Hello, I have several heavily modified RH9 machines (custom kernels, reiser FS, etc.) Just wondering if CentOS could do an upgrade install on machines such as this? I know it's always better to do a clean install, but these machines have been tweaked a lot over the last year and are running perfectly (a lot of time and effort went into this)... an upgrade install would be great. My main concern is the filesystem. Thanks, Brad

kernel with multi-LUN SCSI support

I am running CentOS 3.1 and everything is working beautifully except my HP12000e tape library that requires multi-LUN support. Every time I re-compile the 2.4.21 kernel with the multi-LUN SCSI option, I get the multi-LUN to work but something else breaks. Is there a pre-compiled kernel somewhere that is similar to the stock CentOS kernel except that it includes the multi-LUN feature? thanks! paul

Update centos-yumconf fixes security issue

An update has been released to centos-yumconf , the yum configuration file for centos because it was not set ot check the gpgkey on the packages ity installed. It was assumed that if there was a key then it would be checked, but that is not the case, it has to be explicitly enabled per repo. https://bugzilla.caosity.org/show_bug.cgi?id=543 refers The updated file is :- http://mirror.centos.org/centos-3/3.1/updates/i386/RPMS/centos-yumconf-1-7.… and should be on all mirrors within a few hours. If you run 'yum update' then the package will be automatically updated, however if you run yum against a local, non mirrored repository, or you have edited yum.conf then you may not pick up this update, in which case you should edit yum.conf to add gpgcheck=1 to each repo stanza. updated perl rpms due to build problems

Due to a number of build problems with perl, we have issued a new set of rpms that no longer have strange provide/require items ... See https://bugzilla.caosity.org/show_bug.cgi?id=519 for details. The updated rpms are :- updates/i386/RPMS/perl-5.8.0-88.4.0.i386.rpm updates/i386/RPMS/perl-CGI-2.81-88.4.0.i386.rpm updates/i386/RPMS/perl-CPAN-1.61-88.4.0.i386.rpm updates/i386/RPMS/perl-DB_File-1.804-88.4.0.i386.rpm addons/i386/RPMS/perl-suidperl-5.8.0-88.4.0.i386.rpm updates/i386/SRPMS/perl-5.8.0-88.4.0.src.rpm To update to this new version 'yum update perl' should be sufficient. These new rpms will be rolled in to a new set of iso images once a bit more time has been allowed to see if any other bugs surface. There is an update to httpd and mod_ssl for CentOS-3.1 https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2004-084.html refers. Updated files are :- updates/i386/RPMS/httpd-2.0.46-32.ent.centos.1.i386.rpm updates/i386/RPMS/httpd-devel-2.0.46-32.ent.centos.1.i386.rpm updates/i386/RPMS/mod_ssl-2.0.46-32.ent.centos.1.i386.rpm updates/i386/SRPMS/httpd-2.0.46-32.ent.centos.1.src.rpm These are available at http://mirror.centos.org/3.1/ and should be on all mirrors within a few hours.
