Hi all,
I am having problems to get the SeaLevel IO card to work with CentOS distro.
Basically the card is being recognised and shown by lspci BUT /proc/devices
file is not updated with the new devices does anyone know why. ?
Could someone tell me what/where infos are needed to get /proc/devices to be
updated.
The reason I require the /proc/devices infos is because I want to run a mknod
command with those infos.
This is rather urgent so any help will be much appreciated.

Hi! Am new in trying CentOS, can you please help me how to install
xfce4. What do I need to add in my yum,.conf or in my source.list
for my apt-get.
Thanks you very much and more power to you guys!

Julius
Hello!
I'm running clamav-milter, clamd, and sendmail on CentOS 3.3 (RHEL3). I'm
trying to verify that my milter works. I've sent test emails from
testvirus.org but they don't appear to be getting flagged. I don't see
anything in the logs to indicate they were. Is there a sure-fire way to know?
Also, how should the clamd work? Does it watch the filesystem? Or will it only
work on a scan?

Here we go again:
Hi all.
Most of you already know about my problems (well, my computers
problems ;-) ), since weve been discussing on the forum. Hughesjr
recommended me to post here, so lets see, I have my faith on you
I have a dedicated server with RH9 that I upgraded to CentOS 3.4 .
Everything ok, but after the first yum upgrade and reboot I get this

Do you notice the CentOS-Null ??? Well, the funny thing is
that /etc/redhat-release exists and has this:
# more /etc/redhat-release

Ive also imported the Keys from HD ( the gpg import + rpm import
thing ).
Right now I've disabled GPG check, but it's not a great solution, you
know...
Thanks in advance and sorry for this BIG bandwidth-waster post.
Alejandro.
I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have any familiarity with this
server? It uses the Super X6DH8-G2 motherboard. Currently, we've added an
Adaptec 2120S Ultra320 RAID PCI Controller Card to get RAID 5 capability. The
installation bombs and from what I can tell it looks like we're getting SCSI
resets or the controller is going offline maybe. Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated.

i believe a server re-install is required....ive done that before, what you
did and i had to re-install....yet there might be a way to salvage it but im
not exactly sure the proper way
Hi All,
I wonder if someone can help. My rpm db was corrupted.
So I ran rm -f __db* followed rpm rebuild db which ran OK. But I keep
getting the following error.
error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm
