cAos/CentOS Users in Boston/New England area

I'm still looking for any volunteers in the Boston or New England areas that would be willing to help out at LinuxWorld in February. It goes Feb 14th - 17th, but the expo part is only 15th - 17th. If you can't come all three days, that's fine, but I would appreciate if there were a couple people that could come at least a day or two. Also, If you help out you get a 3 day pass to the expo exhibits. kernel compile and console mouse

Hello everyone, I had to recompile my kernel to enable NTFS support. I used as base the i686 kernel config and enabled the read-only NTFS module. After booting my custom kernel it all works fin (it reads the NTFS partition :-) ) but the console mouse (its a text only pc) wont work. Restarting the gpm service makes the poiter show but wont respond to mouse moves or clicks and will vanish at the first keystroke. Rebooting with the original kernel brings it back to life. What did I miss? Any help aprecuated, Best wishes, J.

CentOS web page "Contact Us" form

Hey, Some time ago (two weeks maybe), I put a message in the CentOS web page "Contact Us" form, in part to see what would happen. Today I got an answer from Donavan. It is good that I finally got an answer. (I am not blaming Donavan; answering off the wall posts to a "Contact Us" form is not my idea of a good time, either.) Would it be better for submissions on the "Contact Us" form to get onto this mailing list immediately? Rick

Squirrelmail terminating web server connection..

Hi, I searched around but didn't see anyone else having this problem.. I have a newly installed server running CentOS 3.3 and using the provided RPM for Squirrelmail (ver 1.4.3a-7.EL3.centos.1).. When I try to send an email I get the following error.. "The connection to www.mydomain.com:80 has terminated unexpectedly. Some data may have been transferred" I am using a Firefox browser so the error may be worded differently in IE.. Anyone have a fix for this or any idea whats causing it?

CentOS 4 Beta x86_64

Hello, Is anybody working on a build of the CentOS 4 Beta for x86_64? If not, are there any directions on how to build a full distribution from the available SRPMS that were used to build the i386 version? I didn't see any docs on the website. Regards, Pat
