nfsstat -m equivalent

Is there an equivalent command to nfsstat -m on Centos 3.4? On solaris it reports statistics for each NFS mounted file system i.e.: /mount/point from host:/some/path Flags: vers=3,proto=tcp,sec=sys,hard,intr,link,symlink,acl,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,retrans=5,timeo=50 Attr cache: acregmin=3,acregmax=60,acdirmin=30,acdirmax=60 On a related topic, how can I make a Centos3.4 nfs server export the filesystem with an rsize/wsize of 32K. I believe the kernel supports it: $ grep MAXBL /usr/src/linux-2.4.21-27.EL/include/linux/nfsd/const.h #define NFSSVC_MAXBLKSIZE (32*1024) #define NFSSVC_MAXBLKSIZE (2*PAGE_SIZE) Although I'm confused by this similar file from the glibc-kernheaders package. $ grep MAX /usr/include/linux/nfsd/const.h #define NFSSVC_MAXVERS 3 #define NFSSVC_MAXBLKSIZE (8*1024) -Mark -- Mark Belanger LTX Corporation

when I do the the cut -d "." -f 2- I get 2 fields. If my file was /home/silentm/log/file.machine.log I get machine.log not just "log" the suffix?? Jerry

system reboots after shutdown

Hi all, When i want to shutdown my laptop (the result is the same from command line as from gdm), screen gets blank, but computer restarts. APM is disabled (this laptop doesn't support it), and disabling ACPI is no solution, because it controls the fan. Kernel version is 2.6.9-11.EL and CPU is Pentium Centrino. Laptop is an AIRIS 840. I use different distros (ubuntu, debian and knoppix) to reproduce this problem without a result. How can I solve this problem?. Building bacula RPM from Karanbir's repo

Hi all, Has anyone tried to rebuild bacula from the source RPM provided on Karanbir's CentOS yum repo? Every time I give it a go, I'm given this error during the configure stage: checking host system type... configure: error: can not guess host type; you must specify one make[1]: Entering directory `/home/rpmbuilder/rpmbuild/BUILD/depkgs/mtx-1.2.17kes' make[1]: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop. make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/rpmbuilder/rpmbuild/BUILD/depkgs/mtx-1.2.17kes' make: *** [mtx] Error 2 error: Bad exit status from /home/rpmbuilder/rpmbuild/tmp/rpm-tmp.1839 (%build) I've tried specifying the host type in the spec file itself by entering the following: --host=x86_64-centos-linux-gnu and --host=x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu but neither have worked. This is my first go at building bacula, so I'm pretty sure I'm missing something: I just don't know what. Do I need to enter a macro in my .rpmmacros file? Currently: %_topdir %(echo "$HOME")/rpmbuild %_tmppath %{_topdir}/tmp Is the spec file hosed? Something else entirely? Any help would be appreciated. GUI Server settings not present

I have installed the minimum and used yum and groupinstall to install "System Tools" "Web Server" yet the GUI Server Settings does not contain the Web server or Samba (Samba was installed with "yum install samba"); it just contains Services. Here are the version numbers I get after installing the 9.2.1.1 release: Model 9500S-4LP Firmware FE9X 2.08.00.003 Driver 2.26.03.019fw BIOS BE9X 2.03.01.052 Boot Loader BL9X 2.02.00.001 A bit confusing. I thought I saw a map of code set releases to various version numbers but I couldn't find it on 3Ware's site. On Sun, 28 Aug 2005 at 9:20am, Bryan J. Can't mount FAT32 partition

I am trying to mount a FAT32 partition in CentOS. I'm following the instructions on this page: http://www.linuxforum.com/linux_tutorials/14/1.php This is the line I put into /etc/fstab /dev/hda /mnt/windows vfat users,owner,rw,umask=000 0 0 And this is the error I get: [root@localhost mnt]# mount -a mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda, or too many mounted file systems What is the cause of this error? [OT] DNS - asking for your opinion

Hi list, I first apologise because this is really off topic, but I would really appreciate your opinion on this. I have had a very hard time configuring a DNS server to answer reverse dns queries, and I would like to have your opinion on my provider behaviour. We have 3 classless subnets and asked the provider to delegate reverse dns. They configured their server and emailed me all was fine but i it didn't work for one subnet, so I mailed back and they assure their side was all perfectly configured. I finally find out (spending lot of time and thanks to www.dnsstuff.com) that they configured 2 zones like 128/27.x.x.x.in-addr.arpa and one as 128-27.x.x.x.in-addr.arpa, so my server was not able to answer queries because I had all zones 128/27.x.x.x.in-addr.arpa. As said before it is my first time configuring Bind and I am sure the more experienced would have notice and solved it quite soon, but still I wonder why to use different convention (without telling us) and even if this is correct (red the http://rfc.net/rfc2317.html and they always use "/" not "-" ).
