iptables rules

Mouse problems

Hi I am running Centos 4.3 and I having irratic problems with my mouse. I have the same problems with other versions of centos as well. I have search and tried everything that I could find but still it's not working right. It is a new microsoft laser wireless mouse 6000 For the most part it seems to work okay but it the buttons seem to click on there own a you move the mouse. CentOS 4.3 x86_64 xfs module rpm

The xfs kernel modules at dev.centos.org are very handy. There are a couple of xfs modules in the 4.3 x86_64 directory, but I don't think it's for the x86_64 4.3 kernel (2.6.9-34). The latest ones in that directory is for the -22 kernel (I believe this came with CentOS 4.2).

CentOS 4.x - Multiple gateways

Hi On a multihomed box how can i set different gateways for each NIC? Setting them in the ifcfg-ethx does not seem to make any difference to the routing? thanks

I recently built a CentOS from the 4.3 ISOs. Now I'm ready to build another 10 systems using kickstart. I took the anaconda-ks.cfg file from the first system I built manually, modified it slightly (see below), and made it available via http. CentOS 3.5 system hanging

Our very large and very complex application is running on CentOS 3.5 and Solaris. The CentOS machines are hanging about once per day. By "hanging" I mean the system is completely unresponsive either from the console or remotely via ssh. Totally locked. Hi List; Sorry for the OT post. However I suspect if anyone outside of RH can help with this question it would be this list. I'm starting a new contract with a shop that knows little about Linux and I'm helping pave the way. I've "inherited" an existing Linux install (RHEL4). I want to setup some tools but I find that yum is not installed. Is this normal for a RH box ? I thought that the RH up2date tool used yum under the covers. Anyhow, is there an easy way to get yum installed on this box ?… [View More]

I tested moving a box from Tao 1.0 to CentOS 3.7. All went well, as far as I can tell, with the OS upgrades, but I needed to rpm -ivh --force the desktop-* stuff. This was a minor thing to fix for no real purpose other than to just be doing it. I still get, though, the Tao screens when the graphic login screen appears. CentOS4.3 - x86_64 - lockups

Hi I have a box that is a Linux LVS project based load balancer running on an 1850 and x86_64 bit version of CentOS. In the past i have never had issues with LVS but then again i have never tried it with x86_64 linux. This box will after a variable about of time, 1 day upto a week or so, stop accepting ssh connections, although http connections will be fine, and then after another period of time http will also stop being accepted/forwarded.
