Mail Server Install

Hi Friends, I am planning to upgrade my mail server from CentOS4.5 to CentOS5. By this, I also planned to replace my postfix mail server with Scalix although the community edition limit me to just 25 premium user, I think it is suffice for us with the remaining user as standard user (with approx. <> 100 users total). Is there a catch on using Scalix based on your experience. I see that Horde is available from Dag's repository, do you think it is better for me to use that instead? Is there anyone using it that may share their gotchas and good points from their experience for me to prepare and be ready. Some would say Fedora users are nuts. I think you perfectly described my experience with Fedora on my laptop (HP zv6015). I managed to coerce Fedora 4 onto it (even the install was wonky until I learned about nofb). I got tired of chasing the latest Fedora release and moved to CentOS 5 when it was released. I built a custom kernel for a while so the card reader would work until enough fixes got back ported that the stock kernel would read the SD card my camera uses. Now everything (sort of) "just works (TM)". I say "sort of" because I'm still running ndiswrapper since every time I've tried the bcm43xx kernel module it hasn't worked with my WAP. With CentOS 5 the laptop seems to be as stable as my desktop. About the only time I ever boot the Windows XP Home partition is if there's a BIOS update or something that HP doesn't release any other way. Can't imagine torturing myself with XP. rpm / yum / repo wranging tools?

I'm inheriting dozens of CentOS servers and am looking for various tools to help me wrangle the rpm / yum / repo madness. Any tools you might suggest for me to look into would be greatly appreciated!

Using a local mirror?

We have a rsync'ed copy of the centos distro. You could try crossover office, it's reported to work with several windows apps from adobe. Are the new SSD disks compatible with centos 5.0? Anybody have one? know where to get one? I think they only come with new laptops. Jerry

Need help with httpd.conf not rendering cgi or php files

I got this working perfectly at home - what should be exact same setups- - Fresh install of CentOS 5 32-bit from DVD - yum update & upgrade - Reboot - yum install mysql-server - Download phpmyadmin and bugzilla from their respective home pages - Move both to /var/www/html, naming the extracted phpmyadmin directory as phpmyadmin, the same with bugzilla - Copy my working httpd.conf file from home and replacing the work one, then restarting httpd - sudo /etc/init.d/httpd restart - Verify mysql is running - sudo /etc/init.d/mysqld restart Call up firefox via an ssh x session and visit http://localhost/phpmyadmin/index.php. Instead of showing a rendered page, it only shows the text of the index.php file. Same for http://localhost/bugzilla/index.cgi What did I miss? The same config file from home, in a setup that worked perfectly, is missing something here! /usr/sbin/httpd -v Server version: Apache/2.2.3 Thanks for any help. Scott

script to take cd iso's and create dvd iso

Hi I used to have a script that would take a dir of cd iso's and then stick them together and create a DVD iso. I seem to remember downloading it from a link posted in here. I have searched but cant find it, i dont suppose anyone knows of such a thing? thanks
