CentOS 5.1 - equivalent of xorg-x11 ?

Hi If i want to add X to a system after install on CentOS 4 that would be a yum install xorg-x11 etc This package seems to have been renamed in CentOS 5 and i wonder if anyone can tell me what that now is please thanks

Internet Load Balancing and Failover

Hi All, Does anyone have any experience connecting two or more DSL/Cable modems to a Linux box to provide load balancing and failover? I've done some googling and found a few resources but very few solid experiences. I'm trying to optimize my LAN->Internet traffic for a bunch of workstations. Shawn

CentOS serial questions (Hyperterminal equiv and connecting to server via Hyperterminal)

I have two serial-related questions (1) What is the CentOS (or *nix) equivalent of Hyperterminal in Windows? Sometimes I'm on a CentOS box and need to, say, console into a Cisco or something. and (2) I have a CentOS server that I may need to transport somewhere and will most likely *not* want to carry around the monitor. Where should I look in connecting to my server via a serial connection? (I'm more on the network end of things, and am hoping for a nudge in the right direction on these two questions)

About Mono installation

Centos Guys: Any estimate of recent torrent savings?

Just wondering if the community has any stats available from the tracker showing savings from torrent (up|down)loads. I'm seeing *lots* of activity on the live CD. Between that and the two CentOS releases I'm sharing (4 DVD & 1-4, 5 DVD & 1-6) my current session has sent out about 20.3GB. Since I started using it regularly, I think I've sent >= 0.4TB. If some really good numbers were available, it might encourage others when they realize that all this translates to faster syncing of mirrors, faster initial release downloads, reduced costs to the project, etc. I recently increased my cable modem speeds (U.S. $10/mo seemed worth it to me even though I don't get the benefits of the added download speed often - nature of what I do and all that) so I could upload appx. 60KB/s instead of the previous appx. 45KB/s. And the new {lib, r}torrent from rpmforge has DHT capability included, which I activated, and I think is increasing the number of peers/clients with which I see exchanges. I don't know how badly this might cause under-reporting of your stats. Just curious, no big need. -- Bill
