rkhunter doesn't remove temp suspscan files in /dev/shm

Alle, I know this is off-topic, so I apologize in advance, but we have installed rkhunter from EPEL (because it has the current version, 1.3.6 vice the 1.3.4 rpmforge version) on our CentOS machine and find that it does not remove the files in /dev/shm it uses for the SUSPSCAN test, this triggering a warning for said test. This was a known bug that was supposed to be have been fixed in V1.3.1. I can't find an EPEL mailing list to send the question to, so I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. Bandwith limiting

I found out how to limit all traffic on a give nic: [root@mirrors html]# tc qdisc add dev eth1 handle 1:0 root dsmark indices 1 default_index 0 [root@mirrors html]# tc qdisc add dev eth1 handle 2:0 parent 1:0 tbf burst 2048 limit 2048 mtu 1514 rate 3200bps But I do not know how to persist this. question on kvm

I had used and old kvm-87 on centos 5.4 x86_64 I was wanting ot update that and use the newer qemu-kvm-0.12.3 I downloaded that and everything was good there - but the kernel modules are not included. So I downloaded (or started to download) kvm-kvod something... but there is nothing there for 2.6.18? How do I get the correct 2.6.18 version? Jerry

rack configurator?

Hey folks, Does anyone know of a rack configurator that runs on CentOS? It does not have to even be very fancy - immediately I'm just looking for an easy way to keep track of what is in my racks, and being able to have a visual of it. Maybe juggle stuff around. Bonus if it does power calculations based on model numbers and so on - or data I punch in for each model. But really right now some kind of very specific CAD or Draw tool that is specific to this purpose. Backup solution to backup /var/spool/imap above 150GB data

Hi We have an issue with one of our clients , they have a mail server with the /var/spool/imap partition as 150 GB . They need to take differential backup on to /backup partition ( a different HDD of total 250 GB space ) . We have tried dar , rsync, rdiff and impasync . But its is not sufficing the need as to take a lot of time and consumes a lot of I/O . Is there any back up solution that you can think of , that can work in this situation - open source or proprietary -- Regards Agnello D'souza

Enabling msg_get_queue()?

Noticing that the PHP4 binaries with CentOS4 are compiled with the option: --enable-sysvshm but not with the --enable-sysvmsg option. They are very closely related, and we'd like to use the msg_get_queue() function for an application cluster. Is there any reason why this is so? Is it too much to ask to have this added? centos 4.8 dvd on virtualbox x86_64

I just installed VirtualBox latest version on a new Win7 Pro x86_64 desktop, and tried to create a 64bit CentOS 4.8 install for doing some procedural testing... all install attempts hung at the samme place, shortly after grub, it hangs at... Dquot-cache hash table entries: 512 (order 0, 4096 bytes) sadly, I didn't capture the rest of the console output prior to that. 32bit 4.8 boots and installs just fine. CPU is a Intel Core2Duo E7600 which supposedly has VT-x. System is a Dell Optiplex 755 (Intel G45 chipset) anyone got a clue ?
