Combining CentOS 6.1 DVD images

I would like to create a single installation directory from the DVD1 and DVD2 CentOS 6.1 release DVD images, suitable for network (NFS) installation. If I mount each of the ISO images and copy their files to a single directory, will that work? That is, are the files on each DVD unique such that I won't be overwriting any files from DVD1 when doing the DVD2 copy? Will pointing a CentOS network installation (CentOS-6.1-i386-netinstall.iso) at this directory satisfy it at runtime for the files needed to do a full 6.1 install? Thanks.

Hello, until a more official rebuild shows up, I have recomppiled the RHEL 6.2 kernel src.rpm and copied the binary rpms to: http://jur-linux.org/download/redhat-kernel/6/220.el6/ This is running happily on a dozen machines now. best regards, Florian La Roche

Unsigned nx/freenx packages in Centos 6 extras repo

Hello, I've encountered an error updating nx/freenx: Package nx-3.5.0-1.el6.centos.x86_64.rpm is not signed Both nx and freenx packages in Centos 6 extras repo are not signed, is this correct? Andrzej

rhost= does not include IP in /var/log/secure

For a couple months or so I have noticed that failed dovecot logins do not print the offending IP address in /var/log/secure which prevents fail2ban from blocking appropriate ports. All had worked well for several years. Box is 5.7 fully updated. I found this bug against cyrus-sasl which sounds like it might be related: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=683797 On the box in question, > rpm -q cyrus-sasl cyrus-sasl-2.1.22-5.el5_4.3 Is anyone else seeing this? Horde mailboxes with Virtualmin and CentOS 6

I'm sorry if it is off-topic, maybe not. I have CentOS 6, webmin/virtualmin panel and I just install Horde 3/imp 4. In my virtualmin panel I have many email configured, but when I acces Horde and I try to login with email/password or user/password, Horde tell me login or password not good. What I have to do to synchronize Horde and virtualmin mailbox? Thanks you Ernesto

Incorrect evince password request

I have run into several pdf documents that request a password with evince; but not with Adobe. FreeNX on Centos 5.7

HI All, I am new to Linux so please bare with me. I am running Centos 5.7 with FreeNX-0.7.3-8.el5 and I have successfully installed everything and configured my first user. However when I log in using the NX Client I see the desktop however I don¹t have mouse or keyboard access. Is there a setting I have to apply in order to get mouse and keyboard access?
