Hi all, When trying to rpmbuild http://robert.cheramy.net/ipfm/browser/trunk/redhat/ipfm.spec, I do this: [mihamina@centos6-01 redhat]$ rpmbuild -ba ipfm.spec error: line 5: Unknown tag: Licence: GPL And I get the error above. [mihamina@centos6-01 redhat]$ head -n 5 ipfm.spec Summary: IP Flow Meter is a bandwidth analysis tool Name: ipfm Version: 0.12.0rc1 Release: rktmb Licence: GPL [mihamina@centos6-01 redhat]$ There, I changed the original "Copyright:" to "Licence:", but I get the same error with "Copyright:" (but mentioning "Copyright:"). http://www.rpm.org/max-rpm-snapshot/s1-rpm-inside-tags.html says "Licence:" is a valid tag. Isnt'it? These are my rpm installed. Dear All Friends, i installed cacti on CentOS 6.2. every thing went smooth and i can see the login page as well. due to security reason cacti has to change the default password (admin/admin) when i enter the default password i get the following error. bridge connection and two linux servers

I need to set up following network architecture : Internet ^ +-----------------+ | +------------------+ | Centos6-1 | | | Centos6-2 | | +---- eth0 + ----+ | | | (br0)| | | | | +---- eth1 +----------------+ eth0 | +-----------------+ +------------------+ ( cable connection ) Two public IP's are to be configured like follows : + **eth0** and **eth1** of **Centos6-1 are to be configured as a bridge with IP1 - **Centos6-1** can be accessed with IP1 - **eth0** of **Centos6-2** is configured with IP2 - any request destined to IP2 will flow through **Centos6-1** How can i accomplish this feat? There is a service running in the second server. This service will bind to IP2. what will happen If i do the following in box1: brctl addbr br0 ifdown eth0 ifdown eth1 ifconfig eth0 0.0.0.0 up ifconfig eth1 0.0.0.0 up ifconfig br0 IP1 **** would it do what i want? CentOS 6.x, kernel-2.6.32-220.7.1, EC2 and drive enumeration

Hi all, Is anyone successfully running/has succesfully upgraded to 2.6.32-220 from, say, 2.6.32-71.29.1? (i.e. done a normal run-of-the-mill yum update on, say a 6.0 instance all the way up cleanly to 6.2? Reason I ask is that booting into -220 (and I think also into -131 as well) results in a kernel panic for me. Some digging around and the new kernel seems to be enumerating the drives with the wrong minors An m1.large instance-store instance has root at /dev/xvda1, and 2 ephemeral drives xvdb and xvdc. The image that this instance is booting was built in a 6.0 chroot and I have about 100 of them successfully running; but this innocuous update breaks things in a major way. I've had a poke around the upstream bugzilla (e.g. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=771912) as well as the EC2 forums and there are a couple of similar but not-quite-the-same problems with the newer kernel. Hi all, I have installed the recommended installs from here: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/RebuildSRPM I want to build a "ipfm" RPM on a CentOS 6.2, for legacy purpose. I cant immediately get rid of that piece of software, but we're on the move... So: $ wget http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/3/srodzaj/2/search/ipfm-0.11.5-alt1.sr… $ rpm -i --nomd5 ipfm-0.11.5-alt1.src.rpm error: ipfm-0.11.5-alt1.src.rpm: not an rpm package (or package manifest): I probably missed something or am using some very outdated ressources: would some help me? -- RMA.

Upgrading to Verizon FIOS from Verizon DSL - Linux machine as router/Gateway/LAN server]

Greetings, A long time ago I setup a Linux machine as a Gateway/LAN Server using Verizon DSL as the ISP. I used the following HOWTO as the guide - DSL HOWTO For Linux: http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/DSL-HOWTO/index.html Is there something comprable for Verizon FIOS? My Gateway machine runs Fedora. dhcp annoyances

Well, googling has failed me. We've got a pxeboot setup, but we keep getting, in the logs, parse_option_buffer: malformed option dhcp.bootfile-name (code 67): option length exceeds option buffer length. This is CentOS 6.2 The section for those machines that can pxeboot is: group { allow booting; allow bootp; filename "pxelinux.0"; option dhcp.bootfile-name "pxelinux.0"; (I added this, based on something I found googling) option subnet-mask 255.255.254.0; option routers <our subnet elided>; default-lease-time 172800; # 2 days. max-lease-time 432000; # 5 days. next-server vessel.cit.nih.gov; #BOOT THESE I see the entries for option-128 and option-129, but those, based on still more googling, seem to actually be for etherboot, not pxeboot. So, does anyone have any idea where this buffer length is defined? mark, one of whose goals is less garbage in the logs

Network accounting

Hello, we have been using squid cache under CentOS 6. There is basic accounting for each host/client but we need to account for each subnet. Can you recommend any software which easily let us do subnets network accounting ? E.g.: 192.168.1.x X Gb 192.168.2.x Y Gb 192.168.3.x Z Gb ... Regards Przemek
