fail2ban problem

Hello list I'm trying to setup fail2ban specially sasl action but I'm facing problems. I have centos-release-5-9.el5.centos.1 and fail2ban-0.8.7.1-1.el5.rf installed with selinux disabled The errors I get are: INFO Creating new jail 'sasl-iptables' fail2ban.comm : WARNING Invalid command: ['add', 'sasl-iptables', 'polling'] I tried gemin against polling but I get the same error. The strange thing is that if I enable ssh action, starts with no problem. So it appears to be problem with sasl action, witch is: [sasl-iptables] enabled = true filter = sasl backend = polling action = iptables-multiport[name=sasl, port="imap,imaps,pop3,pop3s,smtp", protocol=tcp] sendmail-whois[name=sasl, dest=my@email] logpath = /var/log/maillog The same setup I have in several mailserver (fedora and centos 6 distro) and all work fine. Does someone faced the same problem? fsck - anyway to increase verbosity to show point in process

Greetings, I'm running CentOS 5.x on one ancient but reasonably reliable machine: root@leeloo ~> uname -a Linux leeloo 2.6.18-308.24.1.el5 #1 SMP Tue Dec 4 17:42:30 EST 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux root@leeloo ~> cat /proc/cpu cat: /proc/cpu: No such file or directory root@leeloo ~> cat /proc/cpuinfo processor : 0 vendor_id : GenuineIntel cpu family : 6 model : 11 model name : Intel(R) Pentium(R) III CPU family 1400MHz .. I am running some fsck's on some of the larger drives (750GB and 2TB) that are used for backups. There is a verbosity flag (-V); but because of the size of the drives along with slowness of the processor, the process is taking a long time. And there is no indication how much of the process has been completed (nothing like a %tage indicator), at least the way that I am running it. Hostname question

CentOS 6.4, clean install. Zimbra 8.0.3 I am behind a PfSense box using a virtual IP. So the IP of the box is 192.168.1.27 I entered this in /etc/hosts: 127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4 ::1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6 192.168.1.27 mail mail.meowbox.me meowbox.me but `hostname -f` says: $ hostname -f hostname: Unknown host Do I need to put the public IP for where this record resolves? Since PFSense is forwarding traffic from it to the virtual IP? Jason
