Libvirt guest receives dadfailed on all ipv6

Hi, I have a Centos7 host with libvirt, attempting to boot a Centos7 guest. I am attempting to do the install over ipv6 (because why not). I have the following network configuration. Cisco 3550 gi0/1 <-> eno1 (Centos7) host. gi0/1 is configured as: switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q switchport trunk allowed vlan 1-17 switchport mode trunk Mainly in question is vlan11 as this is the network I am trying to work with. I am suspicious that the issue lays somewhere in ND being reflected from the cisco in some capacity perhaps? A fedora 20 system connected to gi0/2, with identical network configuration and switch does not suffer this issue when booting guests. This has left me quite stumped as to what I am doing wrong on the Centos7 host, or if there is another issue. And help would be greatly appreciated in helping solve this issue.

I object to this sort of crap. Hidden, no reason for an *IX desktop to be forced to ignore or deal with this crap. Anybody else seeing it? useradd --help -d, --home-dir HOME_DIR home directory for the new user account -M, do not create user's home directory yet useradd -M -s /sbin/nologin FRED produces in /etc/passwd fred:x:504:504::/home/fred:/sbin/nologin Trying again with useradd -d /dev/null -s /sbin/nologin doris gives a CLI message useradd: warning: the home directory already exists. Not copying any file from skel directory into it. and in /etc/password doris:x:505:505::/dev/null:/sbin/nologin QUESTION What is the 'official' method of creating a user with no home directory and no log-on ability ? Display configuration for greeter??

With dual monitors, how do I control which monitor will get the greeter display. I would really like to configure the screens as mirrored. Trying to log in when the monitor with the greeter is not visible is very trying. -- Bob Nichols "NOSPAM" is really part of my email address. Do NOT delete it.

General question about understanding PCI passthrough

Greetings - I saw Andrew Holway's post yesterday referencing using PCI passthrough as a solution to someone else's issue. Not being familiar with it, the post made me look into it more to see if it is something to use for my setup. From my research on the web, I have two questions to make sure I understand how PCI passthrough works. 1. If you use PCI passthrough on a graphics card to allow a virtual guest direct access to the graphics card for it use, does the host still have use of the graphics card also? 2. Or, once you pass it to the guest, the host can then no longer use it and has to rely on base level motherboard graphics? It looks from my reading that using PCI passthrough you can make the graphics card available to multiple guest simultaneously, but it seemed to imply that the host could no longer use it. With the box that I am configuring, I was planning on installing Linux Mint (Cinnamon Desktop) as my kvm host, then installing Win7 as a virtual guest. Since I use some mapping software in Win7 it would be nice to be able to use the graphics card via PCI passthrough, but not at the expense of loosing it from the Mint Cinnamon Desktop. However if multiple kvm guests can use the graphics card simultaneously (but the host can not), the maybe I should use CentOS as a very basic host and then make both Mint and Win7 guests.
