NetworkManager default route

Hello, Why is it so, that NetworkManager allows, and in several cases I've had, defaults to setting default route to several interfaces at the same time? Had my fair share of problems with how 172.17.62.something interface tries to ask for a DHCP lease from 193.something network. I know I could set never-default to the interfaces, but I shouldn't have to do it to every machine I had. Especially bad was the situation when I had two VLANs and a normal ethernet interface, and dhclient tried to ask a lease for the ethernet over the VLAN. Redhat Certificate System 9 in CentOS

Hi all, Is RedHat Certificate System 9 based on Dogtag 9 or is it a different PKI implementation? I need to install a PKI infrastructure in my home lab to do some tests with different solutions that needs/use certificates and I have found Dogtag and RCS. Is RCS "backported" to CentOS?? Any software recommendation to manage (administer, maintain, etc.) PKI infrastructures under CentOS?? Thanks. -- Greetings, C. L. Martinez

Laptop SCSI capability supported by CentOS 7

I'm looking for a well-supported ExpressCard or PCMCIA/CardBus SCSI card that can do at least FastSCSI (Narrow, Wide not necessary) that is supported by CentOS 7. I have an Adaptec SlimSCSI 1460D, but it doesn't seem to be supported (it's previously supported by the aha152x driver). Any ideas are welcomed, other than 'just use a desktop.' I am not sure a USB or Firewire to SCSI bridge will work for what I need, which is connection to an audio-capable DDS2 drive (SGI Firmware Seagate/Conner/ArDAT Peregrine 4326 that is from an SGI system). Yeah, I know I can use DATman on IRIX (I have a pair of O2's and a purple Indigo2 w/ SolidIMPACT), but going forward I'd like to use my laptop.

Centos 7: Problem with named-chroot service after last update

After last update, the named-chroot service not start anymore with this error: > mar 15 10:26:33 s-virt.mydom.local bash[3263]: zone mydom.local/IN: > loading from master file mydom.local/master.zone failed: file not fou > mar 15 10:26:33 s-virt.mydom.local bash[3263]: zone mydom.local/IN: > not loaded due to errors. > mar 15 10:26:33 s-virt.mydom.local bash[3263]: > _default/mydom.local/IN: file not found > mar 15 10:26:33 s-virt.mydom.local bash[3263]: zone 0.168.192.in- > addr.arpa/IN: loading from master file mydom.local/reverse.zone > failed: > mar 15 10:26:33 s-virt.mydom.local bash[3263]: zone 0.168.192.in- > addr.arpa/IN: not loaded due to errors. > mar 15 10:26:33 s-virt.mydom.local bash[3263]: _default/0.168.192.in- > addr.arpa/IN: file not found All file into /var/named/chroot/var/named/ are not found After investigate I have found this error, into file: /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/named-chroot.service the ExecStartPre named-checkconf command is wrong: the option '-t /var/named/chroot' is missing. Solution: Add '-t /var/named/chroot' option before the '-z' option into ExecStartPre command or disable zone check via /etc/sysconfig/named Hope this help -- Dario Lesca (inviato dal mio Linux Fedora 23 Workstation)

Centos and automatic update on server

Hi list, I know that there are automatic update with yum-cron but never tried. In my experiences I never did automatic backup because if update was broken my installation will be broken and I wait some time before apply update. Today seems to be that automatic update are used more than before. What do you think about automatic update? It is a good practice on a server? What is your experiences? Thanks in advance.
