CentOS 7.2 Installation - Anaconda Installer Security Policy Configuration

The Anaconda installer now provides a "Security Policy", although selecting any of the available profiles does not seem to have much effect on the overall installation. Has anyone here had any success with using the kickstart file that is installed when "Pre-release Draft STIG for CentOS Linux 7 Server" profile is selected? The upstream vendor's security guide doesn't seem to offer much guidance. All accounts of trials and tribulations are appreciated. My goal is to install/verify (or as close as I can get to it) a STIG compliant CentOS 7.2 distribution. Thanks! Michael Duvall

C6 Firefox 45.1 segmentation faults

on updated C6 x86_64 Firefox ESR 45.1.0 is seg faulting on various sites, mainly media sites. Tried uninstalling flash-plugin 11.2.202.616 but problem persists. Work around: installed Seamonkey from epel repo Anyone else experiencing unstable behaviour of FF 45.1 on C6?

OT: hardware: MegaCli and initializing a RAID

Got a new box I'm trying to set up. I configured the RAID from the firmware, but "fast initialize" was sitting there at 0% (it's about 43 or 45TB). The first time I tried this, I said background, and rebooted the system. And the stupid annoying alarm started up as the system came up. This time, having *finally* figured out how to set up hot spares from the WebBIOS, I suspended the fast initialization, and brought the system up. Googling, I can't find a command to continue the initialization. Anyone know of one, or is what I want to do rebuild the RAID? mark

CentOS-6.7 problem updating kernel

CentOS-6.5 - CD/DVD does not sense media

I dealing with problem 1 - see previous message - I set about creating a live DVD on my development system. Now I find that I cannot seem to mount a medium in that drive. wodim --devices reports it as present and so does cdrecode. I can use the eject utility to toggle the tray open and closed. i make a image file connected to /dev/loop0 formated as ext4 partition and connect it losetup /dev/loop0 /root/disk.img then make format the loop drive with mkfs.ext4 -o rw,usrquota,grpquota /dev/loop0 /disk connected it to /test the only way to write there other users except root is setting with chmod o+w /test from windows 7 using samba 4 i can write to folder but i cannot set security setting getting always access denied when i am setting security settings on the share what is wrong thank you sarantopoulos nikos

Samba problem

Hi everybody, I have to mount a DNS backend on Samba 4. I made a lot of search but all send me to "samba-tool" which will allow me to create the dns backend. I wonder if "samba-tool" is absent in the samba package ? :s If anyone have a piece of answer, it will be very kind. Thank you

Firefox 45.1.0 stability

Good afternoon, Apologies if this topic has come up before but I've found that the Firefox 45.1.0 stability to be somewhat lacking. For example, I can't use it for Twitter because it crashes. It also crashes when I log into gmail. This happens every time I try these URL's. Any suggestions on improving the stability? Thanks! Jeff
