Hello all-- Due to a proposed changeover to build machines for a project I'm involved with, I need at least glib 2.19. Right now I have glib 2.12, and even on CentOS7-32 bit, what I see is glib 2.14. Is a higher glib available anywhere that might work with my current 6.8. I see I can download it from SourceForge but I am wondering what the results might me. Hello, I've got CentOS 6.8 x64, updated today to the latest by 'yum update' this installed a new kernel: 2.6.32-642.4.2.el6.x86_64 in /var/log/boot.log I found these 3 lines ... No kdump initial ramdisk found. [WARNING] Rebuilding /boot/initrd-2.6.32-642.4.2.el6.x86_64kdump.img cp: cannot stat `/lib/firmware/i915/bxt_dmc_ver1.bin': No such file or directory the first two are logic to me, but the 3rd line, did there something fail at the update? KDE 4.14.8 -- 'Leave' - no suspend to disk

greetings one and all. just what is a better way to suspend kde on a laptop? for a programmer to write 'leave' routines and not have option to 'suspend to disk', tells me the programmer; does not own a laptop is mad at laptop owners because he does not have one has stock in companies that make batteries for laptops to be serious about this, just where should i post/write to get in contact with someone who can see about getting this problem corrected? any/all suggestions/answers greatly needed. tia. -- peace out. users unable to log into kde after 6.8 update

greetings to all. centos = 6.8 current system = toshiba l455d-s5976 laptop a new problem has developed after 1st updating of 6.8. regular user is not able to open kde desktop, can open gnome desktop. root user can open either kde or gnome desktop. as a user, when i try to open kde, after entering password, screen goes to a solid blue, then shows a quick full screen view of command line text, too quick to read, then screen changes back to login prompt. logged in as root, i created a second user, still have same results as above. searching thru 2+ years of local archives revealed nothing, nor does web searching. any advise, recommendation, suggestion appreciated. tia. -- peace out. -+- Tired of having your microsoft os hacked? greetings. centos 6.7 [current] 'disk utility' has started showing message; WARNING: The partition is misaligned by 2560 bytes. This may result in very poor performance. systemd not restarting daemon

On an up-to-date CentOS 7 system, I am running named-sdb (pulling domain records from MySQL), which is segfaulting randomly (after 3-8 hours or so it appears) in libmysqlclient (I've opened a bug). Since this is an internal service, until the segfault can be addressed, I wanted systemd to restart it for me. I created a file called /etc/systemd/system/named-sdb-chroot.service.d/service.conf with: [Service] Restart=always in it. I did "systemctl daemon-reload" and restarted the service, but systemd is not restarting it. It knows it died, because that's in the log (and it ran the chroot cleanup service): Aug 25 12:03:39 dnssql systemd: named-sdb-chroot.service: main process exited, code=killed, status=11/SEGV Aug 25 12:03:39 dnssql systemd: named-sdb-chroot.service: control process exited, code=exited status=1 Aug 25 12:03:39 dnssql systemd: Unit named-sdb-chroot.service entered failed state. Email pid issue

Hello gents, First time poster here! Current system running Centos 6.8. Buddy of mine posted a few days back about me wanting to move from Postfix 2.6.x to 2.8 to above, still under centos 6.8. I might move over to 7, but probably not for a while, don't have the resources presently to make this happen. Running Centos 6.8, postfix 2.6.6, clamav 0.99.1. Basic Centos 6.8 box fully patched using stable repos. ____ISSUE_____ Logwatch is reporting this error, which I'm going to assume has been occurring for a few years but doesn't affect sending/receiving emails, so I haven't chased it down, now I'm looking to fix that. 1 (06498-19) ClamAV-clamd: All attempts (1) failed connecting to /var/spool/amavisd/clamd.sock, retrying (1) Since this is reported by "ClamAV-clamd", I am assuming this is coming from amavisd.conf. My logic on this is that a grep search for that particular string only shows up in the /etc/amavisd.conf file, when its calling the scanner. Pasted code from file below: @av_scanners = ( ['ClamAV-clamd', \&ask_daemon, ["CONTSCAN {}\n", "/var/spool/amavisd/clamd.sock"], qr/\bOK$/m, qr/\bFOUND$/m, qr/^.*?: (?!Infected Archive)(.*) FOUND$/m ], Best I can determine /var/spool/amavisd/clamd.sock file exists. So, not sure what is causing this or why, or how to fix. Fail on start x server

Good Day. Recently buy an lenovo laptop (110 Ideapad 14IBR). Install (with problems) Centos 7, but when start the first time, get the fail screen. Then, I try to start the x server (startx) get the error: FBIOBLANK invalid argument. This laptop have an Intel HD graphics 400 and a Intel Celeron N3060; googling , I concluded that is a fail in the driver, but don’t know how resolve. Please help me. Sorry For my English.
