postgis-2.0.7-2.el7 still in epel7-testing?

Hi all, I'm looking for a fix in postgis, which seems to be fixed already in postgis-2.0.7-2.el7. However that package seems to be 'stuck' in the epel7-testing repository: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=750618 https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2016-b6c229157e Is there a reason that the package is not pushed to stable yet? Or can it be pushed to stable? -- Kind regards, Danny

CVE-2019-0211 httpd24 / EL6

It seems that httpd24-httpd from SCL is affected by CVE-2019-0211 [1]. Does the SIG has plans to update these rpms for EL6? [1] https://httpd.apache.org/security/vulnerabilities_24.html -- Thanks, LF

parallel not found!

Hello list. I'm trying to yum update my Centos 7 and have problem to update parallel. Is like file is missing: parallel-20190322-3.2.noarch.r FAILED http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home%3A/tange/CentOS_7/noarch/par…: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404 - Not Found-:-- ETA Trying other mirror. WINE on CentOS 7

Hi All - I have wine installed from EPEL on CentOS 7. My .exe is running except I dont seem to have network ? So I tried a ping command. wine ping 192.168.1.1 0009:err:winediag:IcmpCreateFile Failed to use ICMP (network ping), this requires special permissions. Pinging 192.168.1.1 [192.168.1.1] with 32 bytes of data: PING: transmit failed. General failure. ^C0028:fixme:console:CONSOLE_DefaultHandler Terminating process 8 on event 0 wine ipconfig /all output looks all fine. Is there something special to do for network access under wine ??? Thanks, Jerry

In place upgrade of RHEL 8 Beta to CentOS 8?

I'm about to rebuild a server, currently running CentOS 6. If I have to do an OS reinstall, my intention is to upgrade, as it's the oldest OS server under my purview. As this server is pretty low visibility, I'd like to see if I can start using EL 8 instead of 7.x. In the past, I was able to switch between different OS variants by simply changing out the yum.d files; EG: RHEL 6.x becomes CentOS 6.x by replacing a single RPM and doing a `yum -y clean all; yum -y update` without issue. How likely is it that similar functionality will exist switching from RHEL 8 Beta to CentOS 8 final? Google pounding provided little info. I couldn't even find useful information for the transition from RHEL 7 Beta. Ben

MegaRAID, and creating a RAID 1 while live

I've started searching, but if anyone here has a link.... I *just* discovered yesterday, to my dismay, that a previous admin built a box that has four hot-swap bays as two as RAID 1... and the other two as RAID 0. Honest, I thought I was pulling the failing drive out of a RAID 1, not that the RAID 0 contained all the websites for a production box.... So, what I want to do is this: it's a Dell, with a PERC 710. Let's call the two drives I'm dealing with sdb and sdc. With mdadm, what I'd do is 1. copy what's on the the RAID 0 of sdc to the RAID 0 of sdb, 2. create sdc as RAID 1, with a drive missing. 3. copy everything from sdb to sdc, and finally. 4. kill the RAID 0 of sdb, and add it as the missing drive to the new RAID 1. And, all with MegaCli64.... Links? mark

Kernel panic after removing SW RAID1 partitions, setting up ZFS.

System is CentOS 6 all up to date, previously had two drives in MD RAID configuration. md0: sda1/sdb1, 20 GB, OS / Partition md1: sda2/sdb2, 1 TB, data mounted as /home Installed kmod ZFS via yum, reboot, zpool works fine. Backed up the /home data 2x, then stopped the sd[ab]2 partition with: mdadm --stop /dev/md1; mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sd[ab]1; Removed /home in /etc/fstab. Used fdisk to set the partition type to gpt for sda2 and sdb2, then built *then destroyed* a ZFS mirror pool using the two partitions. Now the system won't boot, has a kernel panic. I'm remote, so I'll be going in tomorrow to see what's up. My assumption is that it has something to do with mdadm/RAID not being "fully removed". Any idea what I might have missed?
